DESCRIPTION

Co-lead and co-created a visual identity package for Playland Motel, a hotel with twelve kitschy, artist-designed rooms, each with its own design motif.

Cynthia Bacall and I worked closely with founder Robyn Scott to produce an identity package that included two logos, font combinations, color palette, flyers, menus, posters, and a booking website.

CREATIVE

Identity and Logo Development – 1950’s meets the 2010’s

Playland Motel is at the cornerstone between “old-school” and “cool”. This brand vision encapsulates their essence as a lifestyle and hospitality hot spot.

Two versions of the logo were created to maximize its usability. Both are playful, energetic, and inspired by the nostalgic motel signs of the fifties, with a modern twist. Pops of the brand color palette can be found throughout.
